My name is Klaus Heinecke and I am a London/Copenhagen-based editor. I have been working in Denmark since 1998, cutting shorts , promos and ads, before moving to England in 2003 to pursue my dream of working on larger scale films with complex narratives. As the main editor I have worked on 20 shortfilms that has achieved nominations and won awards in the festival circuit. Recent films I worked on, includes ”True Colours” (Nominated for Best British Short at Edinburgh Film Festival 2007, Winner Special Jury Prize and Best Male Premiere Plans ’07 and Winner for Best Actor and Young Jury Prize Brussels). Also I have been editing on several tv series among them "Sommer" and “Forbrydelsen (The Killing)” (Emmy Awards Nominee Best TV Drama ‘07) and “Tjenesten” (Winner Best Comedy of the Year TV Festival Denmark ’07).

I was trained by acclaimed feature, commercial and documentary editors in Denmark and at The National Film and Television School in England. I have 5 years of experience assisting on features and I collaborated on the creative editing of the multi-award winning feature-doc  ”Maximum Penalty”, as well as the critically acclaimed road-movie ”Point of View, that won the award for Best Feature Film at the Mannnheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival 2001.
